Gymnastics Three apparatus finals, including Gabby Douglas — the 16-year-old from Virginia who won gold medals in the women’s all-around individual and team events — on the uneven bars. NBC, 8 p.m. (taped)
Women’s Soccer The United States plays Canada in the second semifinal game. (In the other semifinal, France plays Japan at noon.) The gold medal and bronze medal games are scheduled for Wednesday. NBC Sports Network, 2:45 p.m.
Track and Field With the American favorite LaShawn Merritt out of the men’s 400 meters with an injury, the door is open for the 19-year-old Kirani James of Grenada, which has never won an Olympic medal. In the 400 hurdles, the American Angelo Taylor, winner in 2000 and 2008, goes for gold No. 3. NBC, 8 p.m. (taped)
Men’s Basketball The United States finally played a close game, against Lithuania, and now will face Argentina and Manu Ginobili before the knockout games begin. NBC Sports Network, 5:15 p.m.
Men’s Water Polo In the preliminary round, Tony Azevedo and the United States will attempt to topple Hungary, which has won gold in the last three Games. The Americans took silver in 2008. NBC, 10:30 a.m.
