U.S. Men’s Basketball Team Advances to Gold Medal Game

In group play, the United States men’s basketball team, led by Kevin Durant and his seemingly endless supply of 3-pointers, overwhelmed Argentina by 29 points. The 3-pointer was again in evidence on Friday when the United States defeated Argentina, 109-83, in an Olympic semifinal in London.
The United States will play Spain on Sunday for the gold medal, a rematch of the title game in Beijing, won by the Americans.
